"blow-by"valve replacement
I know this is not the correct name for the valve that people are replacing with the "Bailey-forge". I decided to have Audi replace my bad valve with their new replacement valve. Have had it in for about a month-my impression is that the car has less power throughout its range, but most noticeably on the top-end.
Has anybody else replaced their valve with the new Audi valve? If so, have you noticed a change for the better or worse. My original was making noise, but I was not experiencing any power loss-guess I should have lived with the noise.
Thanks for any info.

You shouldn't have to live with the noise because it's defective, it WILL go out....................
possibly when you least expect. My valve is making a slight noise and I know I have a lot of low end power loss on my 225. I am not to far from my 5000m service and will get mine replaced with the new valve. From what I have heard of the valve, so far so good. One can only hope. -Doug

Audi has had a series of 'new' valves and AFAIK they have yet to find a permanent fix. Do yourself
a favor and get a quality valve such as the Bailey or the Forge. The OEM valve is a POS.

If it's noisy, dealer will replace it...
Current valve is the "N" valve.
I've stayed stock because frankly I've not experienced the noise and I don't want to risk my warranty...
