"No room at The Inn."
Whoa! The Bf-109 Messerschmitt crew got THE last suite (party room as he calls it) at Mitchell's Lodge! We are SOLID there, so we have certainly hit a high water mark.
Meanwhile-
Hampton Inn
- Close to Mitchell's
- Off-street parking
- Mix of double, king, and suite rooms
Highlands Inn
- No off-street parking
- Much pricier
- Out of season and closed right now; prices will go up effective 1 April.
Bottom line: if you waited to reserve a room, remember this is holiday season in resort NC. Hampton Inn (has 35 of 58 rooms available today) made the following offer:
2 Night stay:
- Dbl: 179/night
- King, w/ FP and balcony: 199/night
- Suite: 219/night
3 Night stay"
- 10/night reduction
Use the same group code "QDM", and CALL the front desk at 828-526-5899.
So, update your status if you haven't reserved a room. Use MSR. See the manadatory questions if you log into and EDIT your registration. Look to the right of the page. These will to show me if you need a room. We'll open a thread in a short while listing people with and people looking for extra space.
Hampton Inn contact is Sabrina. There are at least two weddings that w/e in Highlands. Don't wait, coordinate!

That's almost what I paid to spend New Year's in a Hilton two blocks off Bourbon St.!
And I'm guessing that Mardi Gras beads won't have quite the same effect in North Carolina... :-(

Sorry. I encuraged early registration, and now I'm digging up rooms for 50+.
Chip- IF you come solo, we rented a cabin we're sharing with brother and sister-in-law. They'll be room somewhere in it.

Ted, You guys do me a favor and don't mention my name ok ;-) We would like to be able to go back there from time to time. You guys do know that Highlands has some odd liquor laws I trust?
