For Waxing the Bugatti

ith that $300,000 Maybach from Mercedes-Benz on order, you might want to consider a $5,000 wax job to keep it looking tiptop.
Zymöl Enterprises, a Killingworth, Conn., maker of car-care products, offers a $5,000 car wax called Zymöl Royale. It was originally formulated to protect the finish of the Bugatti Royale, a rare late 1920's ultra-luxury car (only about half a dozen were built) so meticulously crafted and exquisitely engineered that today it is considered a work of art.

According to Zymöl, Royale and its other car waxes -- like the $968 Atlantique glaze that Ralph Lauren uses on his 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC -- are all derived from a formula developed by a carriage maker in Bischofscheim, Germany, more than 100 years ago. The major ingredient is carnauba, a vegetable wax extracted from leaves of a palm found in the Brazilian rain forest. It must be applied with bare hands so that their warmth will soften it to the right consistency. Forty-four ounces of the Royale wax comes in a hand-cut crystal-like container.
Zymöl sells less expensive products; waxes at $42 for 8 ounces, for example. But $5,000 for the Royale isn't quite as dear as it sounds. The container is "infinitely refillable" -- Zymöl will send new supplies at no charge for the indefinite future, and this entitlement can even be bequeathed in a wax buyer's will.
Royale and other Zymöl products can be purchased at (800) 999-5563; some items are available at www.zymol.com

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/01/10/automobiles/10BELL.html</a

Depends on how much you wax...
As it does say towards the bottom, it is infinitely refillable - even willable... now someone my age (27) could use that for oh like 50 years, then will it to the kids.. comapared to ~$40 a bottle that does how many applications x # times you'll wax.. depends on how much you wax
