my car is at fred baker porsche/audi near cleveland right now.

in for a check of the transmission, as it's been making noises that a transmission never ought to make.

they phoned me earlier to let me know that they had contacted someone from audi to come out and take a look at the transmission since they felt that they were going to have to replace the gearbox.

i just phoned them, and they let me know that they were working things out with the audi rep... the guy on the phone imagined that they were going to end up getting me a new tranny and that i'd have the car back by the middle of next week, and that if that was the case, they'd supply me with a car to drive in the meantime.

i'm pretty stoked about this... i mean, i'm being treated really well despite my age and despite the mods to the car.

there was a joke about it a while ago, when my old sig read 'i am so the youngest guy in here.'

in actuality, i'm not... rolling mammal is the youngest, as i recall, and there are even a few between him and me.
