Default Look for a red one in our area Jason. License plate is "INSECT"

Wasn't up to 500hp yet last time I checked but had the TT VR6 and 4Motion.

Default Pant Pant

There are a couple of TTs on this forum who's had it done, one was a Black Roadster from New York area (didn't even drive it as a TT). He bought the TT handed it to HPA and picked it up when it was converted, can you say warranty (lol)

Pretty awesome! How many paychecks will a TT conversion take?

The TTR conversion did 0-60 in 3.1 secs if I remember correctly.

Default even more interesting, IMHO...

"And in case you suspect a TT driveline can't handle 500 horses, HPA has confirmed Audi AG's testing of it up to 800 hp without failure. "

I think this pretty much defeats any arguments that a properly modified TT can't be built, driven, and cared for wisely.

Perhaps "stage 3" is too conservative??

Default So, since we already have the AWD, how much would the conversion

cost? Is it just a matter of dropping in the VR6 and twin turbos?

Default 2 caveats...

1. Thats HP, not torque. I think the torque is what chews up transmissions & spits em out.

2. I think that's also only from the flywheel back. I somehow doubt you could get the 800hp from the 1.8T. Not even with serious reinforcement. :^) But maybe somehow they bolted it up to a 4.2 V8 out of an S8 & added boost. Just extend the TTs nose a bit & off you go. ;^)

Default Highest 1.8T output i've seen is 640hp in 2.0T form

but it still runs off the factory ecu and has all the factory ecu functions! Hans Dahlback did it.
