Default 01 FWD Roadster 37k miles for $15500 good deal? yes or no

that's how much I got my TT for and i'm wondering if it was a good deal.

$15500 is w/o other fees such as tax and registration. I thought this was the best price in town and so i had to give up the quattro. i'm very satisfied with the car but the thought that my first audi is not quattro makes me a bit sad

Default price seems about right; forget about what you didn't get, and start modding>>>

the more I did, the less I ever thought about trading mine in on a 225Q Roadster ;-) Seriously, if your car is performing well - healthy MAF, coolant temp sensor, and everything else checks out, then you can start modding from a solid foundation. And when you do, you'll be impressed by what you end up with, even if you go no further than bolt-ons. You'll surprise a few Q owners along the way, too, probably...

Default i'm satisfied with my car. I probably won't do much mod on this one because..

i plan to buy a new car at the end of next year. and a lot of money will go to that car.

this TT is just something that i will enjoy inbetween. so i guess in that sense quattro or non-quattro won't make a significant difference.

For now, i just plan to take a good care of this baby and enjoy it as is. (i say this, but my fingers are always too itchy whenever i get online. LoL )

btw, i have a faulty temp. guage and heating fan with a weak grinding noise. I'm going to the dealers to fight over this and get something out of it. what do you suggest me to do with the faulty temp guage? The mechanic said that engine is not overheating and it's just the faulty temp guage. any suggestion? should i continue to make them fix it? or get other things out of it. i even threatened them that i might return the car for full refund. hope it scared the hell out of them.

Default Check your coolant temp sensor. Good chance that that's your problem.

A new one costs about 7 bucks.

Default yes it is, and there are plenty of write-ups in this forum.

But it may not be that simple, could be the gauge in the instrument cluster, or the whole cluster. Cheap place to start, assuming you're not udner warranty.

Default thanks again. will do some search on it.

mine's not under warranty. i had to debate whether i should get the extended warranty and decided not to go with it. i'm still not sure it was a good decisionl. hmm.

i'm going to the dealer tomorrow.. so maybe they can do the dirty work for me. if not, i guess i'll have to get on it. what could be the risk of having a faulty temp. guage? isn't there a separate sign that appears whenever the engine is overheated? hmm

Default Not to scare you, but if it isn't the $7 temp sensor, it could well be the $900 cluster. If at all

possible, make SURE you get the dealer to fix it.
