Default '02-'06 wheels on a '00? Specifically RS4 (WTB)...

Hey,

Apologies in advance for the basic nature of the inquiry (I'm new to TT's and wheels both)...I just bought a 2000 180Q, my first planned upgrade (and I rub my hands and cackle with glee like a mad Prussian scientist as I type this) are the wheels.

Any difference in wheel applications through the years? I keep seeing a lot of 00-02, 02-06 distinction is listings for wheels, is this as simple as 17" vs 18" etc size, or should I be worried about trying to fit 9-spoke RS wheels on a 2000, clearance and the like?

Thanks in advance for any help, and of course, if anyone has some black 9-spokes for sale...

ps: as a first time poster I'll share this: I'm not an audi 'guy' (must say my heart bleeds blue and white if that's any clue) but I fell in love with the TT the first time I saw it, ca. 1996, on the cover of Automobile (?), with that infamous tag: "Audi Shows Us its TT's"... I was at Hy-Vee oggling the car mags, and the picture of the Nimbus gray TT stopped me cold...I left the store, jumped in my rusty volvo 1800, and thought, "There may be hope yet"...

if the wheels you want were factory installed on a MK1 TT, they'll fit any Mk1 including your '00 180q. All MK1 cars used a 5x100 bolt pattern, 57.1mm centerbore and similar offsets.. the 18" wheels from later years can be used on any Mk1
