Default Yes, height and suspension are the same. I think the 18" wheels fill the hole better

but the height is unchanged. Here is a shot of the upgrade option wheels (on the left) on a 2003 coupe...

I like them much more in person than in any of the pictures I've seen of them.

Default Aren't the 2 tires essentially the same height? If so, 18s do not fill the well up any more than

17s do. Or 16s for that matter. With proper Plus conversions the only difference is the ratio of wheel to tire sidewall - the overall height/diameter is the same. It is an illusion and different people see it differently. I assume the question dealt w/ whether rim sizes could be swapped w/o changes in suspension and ride height, and the answer is yes, for the reason stated.

Default Re: 18 vs 17 inch rims on 2003's- same ride height and suspension?????

My 18"ers that came with the ALMS are exactly the same OD as the 17" stock tires.
No speedo re-calibration, etc, etc.

My 16"snows also have the exact same OD.

Need to go to tirerack.com or tire mfgr's sites and verify specs for your tire, vs tires you plan to install.

No rocket science - pretty safe/easy swap.

Visually the larger wheel (smaller tire sidewall) fills the well better IMNSHO :-)
