If they try and stuff in a 6, our engine compartment will be more cramped than an S4's...
There's barely room for the 1.8T in there, and the extra weight of a 6 isn't going to help the TT's weight distribution any...

By the time the VR6 goes in the TT - it will be 3.2L and all alloy
as that is what all the new 3.2L VR6's will be. If you consider all the intercoolers and turbo plumbing and the fact that the current engine is cast iron - weight difference should be minimal if any at all. Now of course if the 2.0T is all alloy like I think it will be - well then - it will be lighter even with all the turbo stuff, but then again not by much. The current difference in engine weight between the 1.8T and the cast iron 12V VR6 is about 60lbs.

BBS rims (similar to spy photo) for trade
I'm willing to trade my slightly used set of BBS RX rims (some small scratches/scuffs) for a set of used OEM 5 spoke 225 rims. Unfortunately, when I upgraded to Stoptech breaks, there wasn't enough clearance for the bigger calipers with the BBS rims. They are very cool and look great on the TT. The wheels are in Los Angeles with the original low-mileage tires, I would rather not ship to save money. Willing to make the swap anywhere between San Francisco and LA (within reason). Please contact me if interested. weswsimpson@hotmail.com

Will there be lots of room - no but not much less than the 1.8T - the VR6 is very compact and I've
seen the VR6 twin turbo HPA NB up close and personal (which has the smallest of all the MKIV platform cars engine bays) and everything is accessible as it is in our cars. In fact i'll be money it's easier to remove the oil filter from the VR6 than our 1.8T due to its positioning on the engine. Plugs are on top, not on side of engine etc.
