2001 TT Roadster (225) Oil Filter Change
I couldn't find any information on this in any other threads, i.e., but is there some trick to getting the oil filter out of the engine compartment (easily) once it is detached?
It can't be this difficult, or is it?

Why are you changing the oil yourself when oil, filter and labor are FREE at your dealer?
Aside from that, I know that changing the filter on the 1.8T can be a bear in the A4, so it's probably at least that hard in the TT (e.g. you do it from below...)

Because the nearest dealer is a 2 hour drive away and I've heard some pretty bad reports on poor service. I've already changed the oil/filter once and it is a bear, primarily because of the filter.
