Default 2005 tt AWD, read vw front end

I cannot find an accurate reference to rebuild a front strut. I went to Audi USA site for a parts diagram and I don't get it!
From the top: rubber dust cover, upper cap nut, upper cap, lower nut, lower cap, upper strut rubber mount, bearing, long strut shaft dust boot, and the upper white rubber guy.. right?

What do you not understand?... From my understanding, the front strut has the same components as VW Golf/Jetta, except the strut insert is TT specific. A large number of components on the TT are VW shared components, so if you know the VW cross reference numbers, you can save a bit of $ when purchasing replacement parts.

Yes already have the parts thru vw at a substantial savings... Is what I wrote the correct order for assembly?

Sorry for the late reply - I didn't czech my e-mail. If you're not done yet, I'll PDF the ETKA section for that tonight and send it to you. Just PM me with your e-mail address - I don't think I can post a PDF here - I'll try it first I guess - maybe others can benefit in the future if it works.
As something to think about, the strut mount, as it is generic for the VWs, is soft and may not last as long. A number of people have recommended a higher durometer rating as it gives a better response and feel, and holds out much better. The ones from Cupra R or aftermarket ones are recommended.

BTW - a buddy tells me that if you go to the VW service site, for the price of a couple of cups of coffee, they give you a download buffet of the service manuals for 24 or 36 hours. Haven't verified it but worth checking into.

That is awesome, THANKS THANKS THANKS, Oh, by the way, the special tool 3424 for the lower strut pocket, I put a "L" shaped 3/8 hex key on a grinder to make the special tool. Specific to my car, someone before I owned it had part number 6, the bearing, above number 5 the rubber mount and then number 4 the lower cap nut ok did the work BUY THE SPECIAL TOOL
