225TTR Operating Temp

225TTR Operating Temp
Again, new TTR and new to forum. I searched past posts and found references to the "normal" operating temp to be at the 12 o'clock position on the temp guage. That's what I have always seen on all my cars. My 4 day old TTR moves between 12 and the next mark up on the guage. I always think that above the center mark is running hot. Outside temp is in 70's
Is this "normal" or should I be concerned?

Mine does the same thing...only goes to the higher tick
when in stop/go traffic or running "hard."
I actually think based on some of the posts here that the s/w in the cluster got changed so that the guage actually moves.

ps. FYI, the 12 o'clock position is typically set to be "normal" for gauges. Racers will actually rotate their tach so that the shiftpoint is at 12 o'clock.

Re: 225TTR Operating Temp
is the anti-freeze in the coolant over flow jug a deep pink color.have seen alot of new cars coming from port with coolant mixture too strong[more coolant than water].audis recommendation is 60/40,anything higher than this makes all audis run above normal.[note;this applies as long as coolant fan operation is normal.[also it's no big deal to dilute]---dpd

Re: Mine does the same thing...only goes to the higher tick
all of you guys ae experincing the same,if all of your cars are relatively new,i would recommend all to check for the night glo pink anti-freeze,you all may be too strong.another thing to look for is,does the a/c stop working when the gauge creeps up?if it stops, you could have a coolant fan control module that's intermittent? another possibility is a gauge, but tt clusters usually like to eat gas gauges.---dpd
