2K trip in TT - fabulous
My wife and I just got back from a round-trip from New Hampshire to Indiana (taking mostly back roads, except for a few interstates near the big cities), and we had a blast.
The ride was very comfortable for long periods of time and my wife had no problem taking a siesta every once in a while (she didn't do any of the driving - she likes to be 'chauffered') .
Stopped off in Vermont, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, Toledo, and a whole bunch of small towns in between. The car was certainly a hit where ever we went.
Made a side trip to the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum (Auburn, IN), and a few folks from the museum even came out to look at it - even with all those magnificent $100k+ beauties inside ...
Best part of the trip ... 2036 miles and did not see any other TTs ... it's nice to still have some level of exclusivity.
Starting Dec 15, we will be taking a 9k+ mile trip around the States (clockwise starting in NH), and will take about 35 days to do that trip. We will be in Portland OR for New Years, so we figured we would make a nice trip out of it.
Major issue we have is what to do about snow tire logistics - need them up here in the winter, but won't need them in the south (middle part of trip), but will need them again in the last part of the trip.
