Default 40K mile update: Raves for the car, and suspension/handling questions.

The TT reached 40K miles recently and my love for it was reignited. I had planned to replace it once the warranty was up, but the car has been such a pleasure to have (even year-round in the Northwest) that I think I'll keep it (plus, the wife loves it as much as I do). I went for a spirited drive and rediscovered how alive the car feels on narrow twisties. The thing sets up SO nicely when you're hard on the brakes and heel-and-toeing into a curve - load it up properly and it'll really dig and squat into the turn. I have the 19mm rear anti-roll bar and Bilstein/H&R suspension. Running 225/40s on 18" wheels.

Questions: Even with the bar and the suspension, the car understeers more than I'd like on really sharp turns. Also, the steering gets very light and numb at the limit.

-Will a 25mm front bar, even though it stiffens the front end, mitigate either of these issues?

-What about poly bushings?

- For those of you with the Haldex control module, how does this address these two issues, if at all?

I suppose I could go with 21mm rear bar, possibly, or search for Mk. I arms.

Gratuitous shiny pose:

Default Increasing the front bar will...>>

Increase understeer. A good alignment and tire pressure adjustment may be all you need. Try running equal pressures front and rear and see how it feels....

Chassis tuning chart

I didn't think you could get that kind of view of it from the road without all the hotels in the way

Default Thanks. I'm running 35/38 psi F/R but I could use an alignment.

That list is very helpful. I like these suggestions:
"Drive a different line.
Use weight transfer to your advantage."

If you drive up the hill there's just that one section where you can snap a pic, with power lines.

Default No wonder! Tire pressures are all wrong..>>

Softer in the front promotes understeer..
