Default 40k service still include Haldex fluid and filter?

Picked my car up yesterday from the dealer, noticed it wasn't on the invoice. I asked them about it and they claimed "AOA" has changed the service not including the haldex service. Yet they left a customer check off sheet in my car where it cleary instructs the tech to change the filter and oil, so I ask and they say, its outdated. Whats the chances of going to another dealer and having them reject the service on the basis that the 40k was already done.

Also the dealer told me that my tranny fluid was "faulty" which is why my 2nd gear syncro was having problems resulting in a grind when shifting. I didnt know fluid could be faulty or that it affected the syncro's.

Default Ask them to put it in writing and have the Service Manager sign it. See how...

quick they change their tune. If they do give you that letter, immediately make a copy and send it to AoA.

BTW, my dealer changed mine at 40K just three months ago.

Default WTF!?

Yes, they should change Haldex fluid and filter every 20k. The specs have not changed.

Default Show them this...

straight off the Robert Bentley site (they publish the official Audi TT Service manual CD). It says "Haldex Clutch - change oil and filter" every 20K miles.

Ask to see an official Audi document overriding these published service intervals, and open a case with AoA if they won't/can't show you official documentation of a change. Also let them know that THEY are assuming responsibility for any Haldex issues you may EVER encounter, even post-warranty, due to improper maintenance/willful negligence.

2003 Audi Maintenance Schedule
