A4 B5'er has a quick question on the boost machine...
so I hear you TT guys like to use the boost machine on 1.8Ts, well I have an 01 1.8T w/dahlback software. had an n75k, now going to try this.
1. How does boost trail off (how smooth is the wastegate opening after boost has been moderately applied) while driving?
2. With the boost machine I understand you can either leave the relief valve at 0 for no interference, or turn it CCW for reducing the n75 signal until it reaches a certain point.
since the signal to close the wastegate is reduced and the wastegate is prevented from creeping, is there a loss in turbo spool time?
any other info you guys have on it/opinions would be great. TIA!

My only advice: Get one. You will not regret it.
More power, smoother delivery, earlier boost, less power loss between gear shifts, no downside.
Do date the best mod I have done.

Excellent solution, but there is one thing for you>>>
Dahlback software is pretty aggressive and boost is already high. With the KO3 max boost efficiency is around 20-21psi due to heat. Anything beyond that range, and you are making heat, not power.
Secondly...with an N75K valve, you will serious spiking problems. It has proven not to work well with the more aggressive valves, as it is performing the same function, but allowing you to control boost and creep.
The BM works best with APR, Revo and GIAC...as those programs have a bit more overhead.
Do not get me wrong, it is a great product, but it could be problematic with your setup..think lot's of "LIMP MODE" events...
Talk to the builder, and make sure you give him your config!

Boost Machine is definitely better than the>>>
N75k....much smoother, and tunable. With Dahlback's software, you may not get a lot of boost out of it, but you will definitely smooth it out....IMO
