Are all dealers this good?

Hmmm. A group drive from Portland to Santa Clara...?
Might have to forward John's msg. to the Portland dealership to help them focus their welf-improvement campaign. My early Aug. call to Sunset to schedule the rear traction control arm recall got me a mid-Oct. app't--

My story when I was dropping my car off for the 20k, unbelieveable but true:
Guy was standing next to me talking to the service manager:
"I was going 70mph when I hit the rail road tracks. I heard this strange clunk from under the car. The transmission was not working correctly after that." (duh) He went on to explain, "When I autocross my car the transmission has never felt that bad. I can't have a faulty transmission when autocrossing. The transmission does not want to go into 2nd or 3rd."
Anyway after explaining for the next 5min or so all the things you should never tell your dealer, the manager says we will take care of it. NO CHARGE UNDER WARRANTY.
Hell yeah I now know that I can do pretty much anything that I want to my car and not void my warranty. Whats ABT's number? I need some of their tasty chips.

No, it was not Cutter! The dealer paid for repairs and put a new
windshield in (to replace my existing pitted one).
Audi Customer Relations said that they could do nothing, as it didn't result from workmanship problems with the vehicle itself. They did not care that dealers have been so horrible. I'm an attorney, so believe me, I tried. AoA will not receive repeat business from me, that's for sure.

No sweat.....
Affirmative.
Santa Ynez now....I commute north to SM daily and rarely see a Black Coupe going north on my way south @ night, usually around the 154 / 101 interchange. Is That U?
Techs @ Cutter are good and helpful (Bert and Jarred) - as of last visit.
Cutter only provides shuttle service around town (beach? if your service is long or you don't want to hang.
Also, it's a nice gesture but I don't rec letting Cutter wash your car before pickup. Been scratched once before.

John is now living in Santa Barbara, CA. But about 18 months ago he was living in Bingen, WA, across the river from Hood River, OR. He still owns property in Bingen and finished Summering back in Bingen for the past four months.
