Anti-theft Security - Windows go down on TTQ when car locked and return to vehicle
Has anyone experienced this situation where you lock your car and come back
and both drivers and passengers windows are down? Sometime ago I asked
for the remote locking feature to be enabled via the key fob but I've never experienced a problem until recently.

Yes...
I experienced the same thing. Because of rain, the door locks short-circuited, causing the locks to open and in addition lowered the windows. My dealer changed the locking mechanism that also contains the electronic steering unit for the central locking and the power windows.
Does it rain in your part of the world? :-)

Re: Yes...
The car is parked in a garage with 24hr security(don't laugh!) So no rain in this case! I parked in a mall carpark too and the samethin happend. Not good really.
I have to add that someone decided to try and break-in through the passenger door handle. Broke the door handle and left a hole in the door panel. I wonder how much that will cost me?

Ahhh, that's the old VW/Audi trick. You could pop up the lock on a VW that way...
Punch a hole just under the lock part of the handle, wiggle it a bit, and the door would unlock. My GTI was broken into 3 times that way. Audi's used the same door lock design.
