Default Any Aerodynamic significance to the stock grille?

I'm considering changing the grille, but looking at the angle and size of the horizontal slats on the stock unit, was wondering if the Audi engineers were designing anti-lift elements to it and/or possibly that as air goes over those slats the speed of the passing air increases resulting in more significant airflow than you would obtain by modding to a more seemingly open mesh unit like JE or cargraphics. Opinions???

OK, OK, thought maybe it was a reach but hey, had to ask...back to eating my cocoa puffs...while sitting in corner with my dunce cap on. (It's a rough crowd here in the morning LOL!)...you know these things roll much better on the floor before you take a bite out of them...these cereal engineers are pretty smart!

Default There may be . . .

notice some of the air flow direction near the battery and other areas (it's blocked there, I believe).

There is some thought there--hard to believe they did it for no reason.

Default I believe the air flow blockage to battery is to keep the water away, and

maybe also the extreme cold air....
