Default Any consensus on getting MKI performance with MKII swaybar? (oops, i mean control arm!)

Is it impossible to recreate the steering response of MKI with the MKII swaybar?

Is there an aftermarket swaybar option?

Would changes to other parts of the suspension system increase responsiveness?

I read up on the original MKI vs. MKII thread and there doesn't seem to be any consenus.

help!

Default It seems to be mostly related to the front control arms

stalking Ebay might be the only way to find such things...the rest is just smaller diameter roll bars etc...

does anyone sell aftermarket arms? seems like a "tunable" part.

Default There was talk and a bit of R+D done on such things actually based on the Mk1 arms

But it never seemed to go any further...a shame really cause I would pay for some front end adjustability...

you might consider adding the neuspeed rear anti-sway bar to the mkII control arms

Default The precise steering response of the MKI is not achievable...without the MKI arms

but replacing the rear sway with a Nuespeed 19mm improves the agility of the TTs turn-in response and moves the car toward neutral response characteristics. No changes to the front sway bar is required...

Default I thought the new S-line option (not in USA) had modified control arm bushings?

If so, can't we simply get the bushings and replace ours?

Agreed, it is such a shame that Audi made the change to MKII arms..

Default Control arms are the key. We need to get someone to offer a bushing replacement.
