the parts replaced in the 1999/2000 suspension replacement recall would be greatly appriciated. Actually any diagram of the controling A arm and other suspension pieces on the TT would probably work. Like anyone in my class really cares at this point

thanks in advance

Default Search the forum for "KX" recall. I think that was the suspension one and there was

a posting or 5 of the installation instructions. I am searching my hard drives for a copy.

Default thanks I have the actual letters that were sent to people and dealers in regards to the recall I'm

now just looking for images of the parts themselves to show to my classmates (ie kill time)

oh and wouldn't a TT AVANT be an A3? Just wondering...if BMW can make a hothatch out of their roadster I guess Audi could do it to the TT. Or am I just reading to much into your little name thing there

Default No not reading too much. I am still tossing around my new handle...

so far "TT Avant" and 'Lil Avant' are all i have come up with. The former plays off the fact that Jetta has TT in it. Subtly, I know.

I was thinking Audi rings on the back, too. I know i am stuck with the huge pimp VW badge on the front.

Default Perform the following search . . .

Username: Bracketracer

Date Range: 03/01/2000 to 03/01/2001

Subject: MkI vs MkII or control arms.

Jason posted a side by side picture of the two different control arms.

The parts that were changed for the conversion were the following:

Front control arms.
front sway bar (both fwd and quattro)
front sway bar bushings (both fwd and quattro)
rear sway bar (quattro only)
rear sway bar bushings (quattro only)
front struts
rear dampers

That is everything that was repalced in the KX recall.

Then a seperate recall added the rear spoiler using that special template.

The ESP was not a recall per se, but an option that was setup so that the dealers shipped the cars down to the Port of Houston for a few days time.

If you have the various TSB's then you have pictures of the various parts. If you have the TSB's in English, can you send them to me? I only have them in FRENCH! lol

Default Nice...do you like the Jetta Wagon? I drove a Passat Wagon and liked it but not the price tag...

we are still looking for a nice wagon for the business it all just depends on the funding we get really in what we finally decide to get.
