Default Any Porsche 944 Owners here?

This was my 1987 944 (na), the TT replaced it. it was in mint shape and aside from the lethargic 2.5 liter engine, the car handled great and was fun to drive. If it was a 944 Turbo I would probably would have kept it as it is a totally different car and really quick. I really miss this car and still keepin an eye open for a mint 951.

Default I've had several. A 944s, and 951's. If you find that mint 951, just be ready for some REALLY big

maintenance costs. I love those cars, they're incredibly well balanced and very fun to drive. The 951 is much more fun that the 944 and 944s for sure, just a pain in the a$$ to maintain.

Yep, I guess timing belt is an issue for these cars and I actually changed my own TB and waterpump on the 944..Wasnt too hard at all.

Default Former owner here...

I had an 83 as well as an 84. The TT replaced my 84. Now I think back on it I should have kept it. However, when your clutch goes out one month, then the TB/waterpump needs to be replaced the next it makes you think about why you own one of these cars. I would love to have a 951 to track though.

Timing belt is only scratching the surface.

Default that would be me...

<center><img src="http://images41.fotki.com/v1267/photos/1/19447/6332326/273_73592-vi.jpg"></center><p>former owner of 2 tts and my stock 951 blows both their doors off (one chipped with a suspension and the other was stock)....

I love it...and it's a third car so it's babied...of course its got its issues...but I am keeping up with it so knock on wood it's pretty reliable..

It is the definition of hanling on rails..and for $7k it cant be beat.
