Any recommendations on intake filters?

Re: Any recommendations on intake filters?
The owner's manual specifically states not to use an oiled filter on the TT (i.e. K&N). The oil can foul the mass airflow sensor. My recommendation to is look for a foam/paper element (I use a Jamex Motorsports element) or just keep the stock element clean by regular changes. There's really no difference between a clean stock element and a "high performance" element, and any HP increases are marginal. The difference in flow with a more open element is when the stock paper element gets dirty, and reduces the amount of air to the intake.
Advantages of the stock are superior filtering ability so if you live in a dusty
area (I don't), stick with paper.
My $.02 hope it helps

I saw the prototype in person......>>
When I was at lltek a few weeks ago Neil showed me the new prototype intake. Looked great and similar to the Neuspeed only it will use your stock lid and probably be somewhat quieter. It will route to the cold air intake area and use a K&N. Neil said something about a group buy at Fallingwater so stay tuned. Looks like the best of the bunch so far.
