Default Anybody in the Austin TX area...

Know of a good shop to recommend? The one I use(A-1 Auto in Georgetown) lost the guy that made it a great shop so now I'm out of an indy I trust. I'd like to find one north(Round Rock-Georgetown) if possible but will go where I have to. Thanks in advance.

Northwest Imports or Soulspeed, depending on what you need; both are near 183N

Default Thanks. Honestly I'm just taking it in to get the timing belt/water pump done...

Working sixtysomeodd hours a week means no time to do it in the driveway. Which of the two would you recommend for that sort of thing?

Default Correct I am in Round Rock; however, I've got to do the timing belt/pump on my daughters GTI

So no time for me to do ShooTTers at the moment.
Collin at SoulSpeed is one of the few I would trust to work on my car. I've also established a pretty good relationship with Dave and Joe over at NWImports.

Default either operation; I've got a lot more experience with NWI - they rebuilt my engine >

among a huge number of other things on the car before I started to do all my own work; I use Soulspeed for tire mount/balance and cornerbalance/alignment and suspension work exclusively, but they've broadened their scope and David seems happy with that - they're a great operation, I just don't have build experience with them.
