Default Anyone done sequential turn signals?

Like the BMW Z8, where as it flashes for turn signal it scrolls from inside to outside. I think it would be pretty cool, but haven't seen it done anywhere. Seems like it would be fairly easy with the LED turns I've seen here.

Default Oh that is just not fair...

I think it would look hot though. See, I am a young guy - so the way I like things, and the way the older (not much older) I HAVE TO ADD that... crowd like's things are a little different.

I like things to stand out, not bling persay but different. Like the LED turns, for them to be dimmed, but when you use turn signals they go from inside out.. that would be HOT! HOT! HOT! Oh, did I say those would be HOT! lol Who knows maybe jeff could do that, I dont know anything about LED Technology - however I do know I would DIE to have something like that. UGH UGH UGH!

Default Did you check out the mechanism...

that made those turn signals work? Pretty slick for its time.

It's amazing what an IC can do today.

Default Yeah, I have a few extra's laying around

And a replacement solid state assembly too. I have the original sequential system in the car and working for now but it can be a headache at times.

Default Thanks Jeff for the links....

I had found the webelectric site on a quick google search. Here's my stupid noob question, does the turn signals have more than one bulb to do this? What do you feel is the most difficult part of this? I'm definitely not an electrical whiz, but this seems like kinda fun project to try. Would love some thoughts and maybe help if you would be willing to share. Thanks!

Timothy
