Mine came on saying "Service Required" yesterday. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it was fine after that. I called Escort and they said it needs serviced and to send it back to them to do it. Oh, and it's $49.95 because it's out of warranty. I have only had the thing for over a year. It seems fine, but they said to send it back to them. I guess they can program them to "require service" after the warranty expires so people can pay them $49.95 after spending $300 on the radar detector
