Default Anyone ever get an urge to De-Mod a car!? - I did today!

I just got my TT on saturday. I have a 2001 Jetta 2.0 that has some mods like the weitec 40mm kit and some reiger body pieces + a votex front, a Techtonics Tuning exhaust etc.

Since I've been in baltimore the jetta has been nothing but a pain to drive in the city. I have scraped the aftermarket body pieces to hell (except for the sideskirts) and my exhaust has gotten extremely loud lately (wonder if something has gone bad).

Today I just got the urge to take off just about all of that and make it as stock as possible, ebay whatever is worth selling, and have it be just a regular jetta.

I feel silly for modifying a 2.slow in the first place- but it did look great!

Anyhow, anyone else un-pimp their ride because they got sick of their mods?

Default This is what the car looked like the day I said "I'm done modding it"

Now the valences are wrecked and it has gotten really loud. So it just bugs me! I might just fix the noise problems and remove the pieces that are cracked. Hopefully I can salvage its look but still retain functionality

Default No, That looks really nice. Not "pimp" at all. But working in south baltimore I agree that no

extra bodywork will be going onto my TT. I've done wheels, I'll do clear corners in the spring, I've painted my brake calipers red. You could even argue that the FMIC will be an "Appearance" mod. But that will be it...

Anything that hangs down will eventually die..

Default i can't even imagine driving in b'more with a body kit

my TT, which is lowered ~1.25-1.5" (approx.), would scrape the plastic skidplate/belly pan very easily in many places...it definitely required some careful driving!

where in baltimore are you?
