anyone ever put Headers on a TT??

An exhaust manifold is usually much more restrictive by design..
A header is usually "tubular" and offers better flow characteristics. I wish I had some side by side pics, but if you are getting one, take a look at the difference. They are essentially the same idea.

this header is a 4-2-1 design with stepped primaries... supposedly boosts both low and high end...
the stock manifold, from the diagram in my manual, looks like all 4 cylinder ports are immediately joined.
my question is why the same part is called something different... upgrading the intake manifold doesn't change the fact that it's an intake manifold... why can't what i bought just be considered an upgraded exhaust manifold?
