Anyone Hardwire an IPOD in the TT?

yes. Jeff Bipes has made a few adapters to make it possible.
I don't know if he's still doing em. Also, there is an adapter made by blitzsafe that converts rca inputs to your changer control cable. Finally Dension makes the icelink, which allows you to control the ipod from your stock stereo controls just like a changer. It is the most expensive, of course.
Personally, I use an 2nd Gen iPod with the blitzsafe adapter i got from autotoys.com and it works great.

yes, it didn't work. The iPod uses a common ground for power and audio, and is extremly sensitive to
to noise. the only product that works is the Belkin adapter that others have used.
I have modified it like this.

But this means buying a Belkin adapter, taking it apart, and hardwiring it inot my adapter. Too much work.

Nice post but missed it the first time. Clean uncluttered install but I have ???'s
Did you step down the voltage to the GDO or does it handle 12V straight up? I planned this stealth install for the GDO with the center console(motion sensor)unused switch but I think I like this better if an unswitched 12v was available. Have you fished up a constant source yet to the panel?
