Default Anyone have experience with K&N oil filters?...

In between coveting LobsTTer's GoTTzilla in the new Road and Track, I noticed the ad for K&N oil filters. They have a welded on hex nut that looks like it would make removal a whole lot easier. Just wondering.

I used one last time I changed my oil, unfortunately the dealer did it next, so I dunno if it helped

Default i suggest staying with OEM oil filters.

if you're worried about easy removal, you should invest in a special wrench to take out the OEM ones.

Default I've been using since day 1, no problems..

I use the HP-2005, and the welded nut works great for stuck filters, even I never had to use it as it spins off by hand. A few people had reported oil light (alarm) coming off.

Default Yeah, now that I think about it, I'm only doing every other change myself...

so the dealer is the only one who would benefit from the easier removal.
