I did a two day GT performance school at Derek Daly Academy, Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Because our group was a mix of people who had done some racing, but mostly others who had spent more time in golf carts, it was fairly basic performance driving instruction. All driving time was in slightly modded BMW Z-3's, except for some fun and useful time in a 3 series skid-car that they could switch from massive understeer to massive oversteer with the flick of a controller. Day two was about 30 hot laps around an infield road course. The instructors were first rate and managed the varied skill levels within our group of 12 well...though they tended to spend more in- car track time with the less experienced drivers. Daly also has open-wheel formula cars that I would go back and try in a heartbeat. I know there are some R. Petty fantasy camp Nascar things there at the track as well and similar drag racing instruction somewhere within the speedway.
