Anyone know the temp range the outside air temp sensor reads in?

No!.....>
It is designed to measure AIR temps. There are cheap oil temp sensors available to do the oil temp measurements.
The car needs this outside temp data to calculate various running and HVAC parameters.
It's not just a conveninece feature
Don't even think of removing it (if you were).

Was thinking that I really didn't care about outside air temp, and DID care about oil temp.
Was under the impression that the temp sensors in the ducting were used for climate control (which I also don't use, its fans only, or windows), and the IAT sensor was the main sensor used for engine temps.
Just figured I'd get a little info before I considered anything seriously.
