The LDP is equipped on all cars made MY '96 and later(all OBD II)...
All it does is pressurize the fuel tank and related hoses, evap recovery system, etc. Very low pressure(maybe 2-4psi), then the pump shuts off and the pressure is held for a period of 30 seconds, I believe, to test for a pressure drop.
This is why, when a person leaves the fuel cap off of any 96 or later car, the MIL(check engine light) comes on.

Now, do you know for sure the pictured part is in fact the LDP? (I don't have a doubt it is, but we have two answers in this post)
