Default Audi CD Changer for TTR questions

OK, I have settled down on the Audi CD Changer.
My dealer quoted me $350 w/o installation (and $200 additional for the installation!!!). They said, it comes with "everything" included.
Clair parts has the CD Changer for $300 and a mounting bracket for $30 on their web site. THE BRACKET PRODUCT NUMBER FOR THE COUPE AND ROADSTER ARE THE SAME.
This seems odd to me. Does anyone know whether:
1. Do I need the mounting bracket?
2. Will the mounting bracket from Clair Parts fit in the Roadster?

Clair Parts promised to call me back with an answer by tomorrow, but if someone already knows...

Thanks,
germ

Default I'm sure you need the bracket, you just going to let it bounce around in the storage space?

But in a Roadster, the Changer is mounted in compartment behind the driver's seat, not in trunk...

Default Yeah, I know, I have one 8-), but the bracket holds it in place, it's smaller than the compartment

and the first aid kit is placed on top of it.

I'd say it's about 3/4 the width and about 1/2 the height<p>Tom Boucher

Not just Roadsters; ALL TT CD changers mounted in cubby behind driver's seat...
