Audi TT TDI Haldex pump issue
Audi have diagnosed a haldex pump problem on my car and have advised it be replaced for 1700 quid. They also however suggested cleaning/stripping back the plates (?) to see if that will stop them from sticking but wont know if that will fix the problem or not and then I would still have to pay the 1700 pounds to get the replacement. Any help you can give as I can't decide whether to risk the cleaning job for 400quid or go for a definite fix for 1700!

I just had that same job done here in Canada. Looked at various solutions, but the best long term solution was to buy a new pump from the dealer and have my local independent wrench put it in. Pump was about $700CDN plus about 3 hours labor (if I recall correctly). It ended up being less then a g-note all in.
