Default Auto Show comments - Audi stuff looking stodgy to me

Went to the auto show in atlanta this last weekend. It is a pretty big show but not as large as Detroit or LA. Most every mfr was there. Cool stuff

the Tomahawk viper motorcycle. Neat piece of sculpture. Can't imagine actually riding it though. I think you just hang on and hope you don't tip over.

The new Mustang- J. Mays looked back at the 67, 68, and early 70 stangs, the new one could well be a 1972 model. But it is nicely done and will sell like krispy kremes with the hot-now sign on.

The 350 Z was getting lots of attention, teh mags love that car, but the cheap plastic interior is a turn off for me. Pedal placement sucks, but I think it would be fun to drive fast.

Caddy has some good stuff going on.

Not much new out of Germany. The Z4 actually looks pretty good in person. The Audi display was not busy. The TT coupe still got it share of lookers but nothing else at Audi was getting much attention. The RS6 was nice but you could not get in it. The Mini display was busy, people love the Mini.

I like teh Beetle Convertible. Looks good. J Mays did good with that one too.

The Lotus Elise was there, 2 models, one with optional hard top one with soft top removed. Very interesting car, it is all about performance, lacking in "content" but that is what it is. I am seriously thinking of deposit on one. That car is great track vehicle. US spec is supposed to be 190 hp adn 1800 pounds. Wow. Small car by any standard, but a super stiff chassis. Everyone thinks the motor and driveline will a toyota product, okay with me on that.

Lots of buttons and gear shift ***** missing, what the hell do people do with those?
