Auto-X in Dallas this weekend (details inside)
There is an auto-x this weekend in Bedford (Mid Cities), Texas this Sunday at 12:30. The location is Pennington Field. Instructions below. This event is being help by the Mercedes club. The Audi's need to show up and teach the Merc's how to drive. There should be plenty of European cars there, as an Italian Auto club is also advertising it. I will be there, as will at least 1 S4. I hope some other Audi's show up as well. As you can see from the details below, it is not a fast course so there will be minimal tire wear.
Come out and meet the other Dallas Audi folks. Drive if you want, or just watch. No safety equipment needed. $10 and you get to drive.
It is NOT a rain-or-shine event...no quattro fun.
Email me if you have questions.

We've had a lot of comments from members interested in participating in an
Autocross Event - this is where we set up orange traffic cones in various
patterns in a big parking lot, and you drive through the course (one car at a
time) trying to get the fastest time without knocking over very many cones. It's
alot of fun, and it's a great way to test and improve your driving skills.
It's been awhile since we've hosted an Autocross, so lots of people are excited
about the one that we have coming up on Sunday, March 18th. It will take place
at Pennington Field in Bedford (it's a high school football stadium parking
lot), at the SW corner of HWY 183 and Central. Sign up will start around noon,
and the driving events will start around 1:00 pm. Cost to participate will be
$10 per
car. The event will feature four different driving courses to test various
driving skills, with an emphasis on having fun. The courses have been developed
so that driving will not be at high speeds, so you don't have to worry about
having special tires or other equipment. Tropies will be awarded to winners.
