Default AWE-tuning rocks! Trading in my chipped '01 225 coupe next week and didn't want to lose the chip

in the deal.... but, since I never got a stock chip back from AWE when they first put my GIAC in, figured it'd be a hassle and was prepared to just let it go. Figured I'd chip the "new" '02 roadster down the road and just suck it up. Called AWE today to see if I should have gotten a hard stock chip back from them - they said one can be bought at the time of chipping for $50. As I didn't, I should come out next week prior to trading it in - they'll throw a stock chip in ($50 plus labor) and give me my GIAC back. I can then trade my GIAC in for a new GIAC for the '02 and just pay a half hour worth of labor to put it in.... grand total is about a 1/4 of what a new chip would have cost me!!! THAT's AWESOME!

That's great Mike! The folks at AWE have been good to deal with for me too.

Default They are 35 minutes from my house - I need to deal with them more!

As they chipped me to begin with and I've not had an issue with the chip. Plus, their facility is top notch and the S4s and Porsches they have meandering around make for a fun time.....
