Default Bilstein Sport or HD suspension?

I live/drive in NYC/NJ with it's rough pothole-filled roads and constant stop-n-go traffic. I'm planning on keeping the stock springs. Will the HD setup be a good idea or will they be too stiff for everyday driving? How much stiffer are they then the Sport setup?

Thanks for any advice.

Default The HD is the correct choice for stock springs and daily driving.

The Sport are typically paired with shorter springs.

Default HD's will be perfect....>

with stock springs. Reasearch show the rates (for the TT application) are the same...the sports are just 22mm shorter for a better match to lowering springs. I ran BS HD's on stock spring as have many here...It's a great combo..

Default I have the Sport and I thought it was the more aggressive one. HD goes better with stock springs.

Or so I was lead to believe because it has the longer 'throw' of the two. The Sport fit better with Eibach type aftermarket springs.

Default I recall this conversation with Obi Wan Schwing a few years ago

Ended up with the HDs, too. Get yourself adjustable arms in the rear. They will help get/keep things in line.

Default adj. rear arms will keep what in line?..he'd use stock springs..>>

his camber and toe shouldn't be affected just replacing the shocks and keeping the oem springs, correct?

I ask because I plan on doing the same set up

Default Stock (non adjustable) specs suck....>>

and have proven to be all over the board even with stock springs. To do it right, it's a good idea..

Default Just replaced with Bilstien HD.

Great Question. I went with the HD as I too have kept the stock springs. Much improved over the worn out originals. I have only driven them for 150 miles or so and have not felt the ride to be harsh at all. The car feels like it is back on the rails.

Good luck.
