TTUB

Driving in to work this am, I was listening to the radio at a moderate volume. Heard some buzzing from the passenger side and assumed it was something in the glove box... then POP! Pretty loud, almost like a firecracker. Apparently it was my tweeter becuase it's no longer putting out any sound.

The car is a 2005 coupe with the non-Bose factory stereo and speakers.

Questions:

• What could have caused this? Shouldn't be a big deal to replace the tweeter, but I want to make sure that I fix the problem so it doesn't happen again.
• Any recommendations for a non-oem tweeter that will fit into the stock position without any modifications? or perhaps I should stick with oem?
