Default Boost Gauge and Dealership

Luckily my Audi Extended Warranty covers my broken glove box (I can't imagine paying 700 bucks for a new one). So anyway, I'm gonna do a boost gauge install this weekend, and the new glove box gets put in next week. Anyone ever have the dealership accuse the boost gauge of breaking the glove box? Yeah, it sounds retarded, but I've heard of even weirder things. Just wondering if I should hold off on the install.

If I just waited a few day... went ahead and got the AWE boost gauge kit which should be here today. I'm sure some part of my income will continue to flow in your direction though Steve.

Default no on the boost gauge blame, but how the heck did you get your warranty to cover the glove box?

I tried and they denied the claim.

I called the dealership, left a message, and my service advisor got back to me stating that he ordered the box for me, and could have it installed early next week. I've been a _very_ patient customer with Audi in the past, so maybe that helped (the first 50k miles were nothing but trouble). My service advisor also seems to be a pretty good guy.

Default Yeah patience is a virtue when it comes to Audi service. I've had my patience stretched pretty far.

I'll call the dealer again and check. They claimed that it wasn't covered because it was a "wear and tear" item. Its a good thing you posted this. It gives me motivation to bang on them a little more to try and get it fixed under warrantie.
