Boost leak I assume...?

Boost leak I assume...?

TT drove fine yesterday (96 degrees high humidity in Trenton, NJ) for 50 or so miles of normal driving. I started the car late last night after sitting for 2 or so hours (air temp outside dropped to low 80's; car temp dropped to needle on C) and noticed my boost gauge was sitting at zero, no vac, no reading at all. I pulled the gauge out to check my hose connection and it seemed ok; at about this time realized the car was running a little funny (revved to 2000rpm and let off - as needle dropped I noticed at about 1200-1300 the needle bounced then continued to fall). This morning I tested the gauge by blowing into it and sucking out also seemed ok; it recognized my 3psi lung capacity. I plugged the gauge line and drove with out the gauge in, I could hear turbo spooling but it felt like a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder.

When revving the engine the whoosh sound of the dv has changed to a whoo-ch-ch-ch-ch-sh. I removed it, re-greased and re-installed. Test drove again - no boost gauge reading still, dv still sounds like I just described, and the car is pulling like a civic.

Sounds like a boost leak to me, maybe bad dv o-rings(25000 plus miles on forge dv007 same o-rings). Recommendations please...tia

Even with a boost leak...>>

You'd have Vacuum.....Nose around in the engine bay...Particularly the Boost gauge hook-up,,,,Maybe the line blew off under the manifold..

Thanks for the reply Mr. Schwing...

I'll look around and probably start by replacing my plastic T and possibly running a new hose to the gauge. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again.
