Default Bose Radio

The members of this forum seem to be pretty knowledgeable about radio issues. I have a 2001 with the Bose Radio. I'm not particularly interested in changing out the radio because I only drive the car for short outings. The rest of the time it sits under a cover in the garage. It would be a simple thing to use a bluetooth adapter to patch in music from an ipod or thumb drive. All I have to do is tune the radio to an unused FM channel. The Bose radio, however, seems to be incapable of dialing in an empty frequency. The only way I see to tune it is to use the seek button, and of course it then moves past all the unused frequencies and lands on the next local accessible FM station. Any suggestions about how I might trick the radio into finding an unused frequency?

Hold down the seek button and it will go up in .2 increments.
