I found this from a few days ago
<center><img src="http://131.107.68.28/AudiWorldPics/2000/cordttt.jpg"></center><p>TTodd:
I am already looking into replacing my entire Bose system. I can't seem to find anything other than this pic. There does not seem to be any info anywhere on the specifics of the system in the BA car. The press release only says general info.
I went to 6 car stereo shops in the past 2 days to get some ideas for my TTQ. The last place was the only one to offer a true custom install. The prices ranged from $175.00 for just adding a 6" bazooka to around $3400.00 for the custom install. Obviously I am leaning towards the custom, but the price seems a little crazy . . .as of now!

Larry--don't go the bazooka route! (more)
I know that at least one regular visitor here has a Bazooka, and I want you to know that I'm not disparaging his/her effort. However, there are many alternatives that will yield far better results in terms of sound quality for a similarly modest price.
If you're reasonably electrically proficient (and I think you probably are, given your V1 install), then I would suggest that you consider doing it yourself. Why? Because it's fairly easy, it'd be much less expensive (which means you can spend the difference on higher/top-end merchandise), and you'd ensure that your TT is respectfully treated!
Whatever you decide, please share it with the forum.

I have no intention of going bazooka!
I am trying to get a handle on what the different installers here on Long Island can do with less than $3000.00
So far like I said I have gotten a wide variety of answers. The best real solution for what I want is right around $3000.00
I don't plan on doing anything until I like what I am hearing!
