Default Brake question. I replaced rotors pads and fluid 800mi ago. Rear rotors>>

don't look like they have had much contact with the pads at all (still have the factory brush marks).

I know that is not true because they got extremely hot after bedding in the pads. They still do after hard braking. The fronts look as they should IMO.

Is this normal or is there a way to adjust the rear calipers for more contact? As far as brake feel, the pedal travel vs braking action is almost linear - unlike most other cars where it seems front loaded (including my S4). Thoughts?

Default Normal, Rears don't do much work under normal use. Why is that rear spring collapsed ?

Do you have the jack under a suspension point, like the shock mounting? Careful.

Default Silly question....did you bleed manually?

My bet is that if you remove the rear pads you're going to see no evidence of contact. After 800 miles there should be at least some tracking there. Your pictures show almost none at all.

Perhaps borrow a power bleeder (Autozone) or find someone with a Vag-com (preferred is the word) to help you out. STFA for both methods.

Default But they do get hot after hard braking... I did not do the VAG-Com ABS>>

bleed cycle because I read that it wasn't really necessary for a simple fluid swap... I'll give it a shot. BTW I did use the Motive Powerbleeder to bleed the brakes.
