BRAVE NEW WORLD: What if this were very strictly a car forum???
Let me give you the lowdown:
We would probably have 20% of the usership (read: POTENTIAL CONSUMMERS FOR PAYING ADVERTISERS) we now have, who would all be totally dry cyber-gearheads and would continually discuss any one of the eight real topics which seem to exist (yawn), all of which were long ago hammered to death, and then these sad, humorless people would all die prematurely of MASSIVE ATTACKS OF BOREDOM.
Really, it seems a rather bleak and dreary prospect if you ask me... which you didn't, but I opined anyway and marked OT so you can just yer damned flappin' pie hole anytime now... :-p '

I hate to say this but I agree with our toothless comrade......
Would be interesting to try this experiment and turn off the OT option for a week and post nothing other than On topic TT talk, see what happens to the readership / participation. I would be willing to give up a week of posting off topic stuff for the cause.. (plus I might get some work done)

The on-topic forum in 100 words or less:
My DV failed while I was on the way to my eeeeviiilll dealer to replace my cluster which broke when I slammed my fist against it because my gearshift was grinding while thinking "will the DSG TT be better? Should I get one?" This all happened just after I attached my hoover vacuum to the turbo to try to increase my Booooooost so I can *NOT* (not) street race soccer moms in aerostars.

and I wouldn't have spent so much money with AW advertisers. Let's see 2 TT and an S4 later...Yep, I've spent a coupla bucks on Audi stuff in the last 2 years. Not as much as some others though! :-D
I understand all the uproar over too much OT, but if the TT group gets moderated to the point where we have to post our OT stuff to the OT group...I'm not gonna stick around very long.
