Buggy Temp Gauge and Oil Warning sensor
My car has a unique intermittent problem...... Every once in a while the temp gauge decides to head south and goes back to the Cold position. Then after that my Oil Warning indicator starts beeping requesting to switch off the engine and check the oil level.
If I drive around for a mile or two everything goes back to Normal. The temp gauge goes back to a 12oclock position and the oil warning disappears.
The morons at the Audi Dealership in Boulder, CO have not been able to fix this problem so I need a know about a good dealership in Denver. They tell me they checked everything and nothing shows up on the computer diagnostics. I have checked the fuses and everything seems to be okay.

Coolant temp sensor
Had the same problem. They replaced instrument cluster first, no help.
Problem was the temp sensor, part #078919501B. Was told it shares a common ground with the oil pressure sensor, which is why you see both problems.
(part # is for 2000 180QC)
