Can the factory rear valance be removed w/out damage?

Can the factory rear valance be removed w/out damage?
Difficult to do? I know some people just throw away the factory painted piece (and therefore just do whatever it takes to remove it), but I would like to have it intact and damage free.

Yes. Have been many posts w/ very clear directions. Here's one -->
