That's a good idea for the mirrors...But don't think they will assist with the DV

Default :)

BTW, you live on Long Island and if I recall LarryTT lives up that way. He'd be a perfect guy to help you with it. I think they have "install parties" up that way now and again.

Good luck!

Default I think the DV would be easier than the mirrors..

the DV is a part for part swap, the major complaint being the one use factory clamps. With a buddy and an asortment of tools you should have little problem. See Michaels site or search for other tips.

Default go for it!!

I have found that mental preparation is the most important tool when attempting to tackle upgrade projects yourself, especially when you don't know what the heck you are doing. Be prepared for not having the right tool to do something, or dropping a wrench in the engine compartment, possibly cracking one of those mirrors. If it can be broke, it can be fixed or replaced, it's how well you handle 'setbacks' that is important.

There is much to be gained by trying it yourself:
independence
confidence
accomplishment
bond between you and the TT
ability to assist others in the future
learning experience

My analogy...'do you take your own kids to the soccer game or do you let the babysitter take them? same result either way, but doing it yourselve makes it that much more special.'
