Default Can you drive the car without the Airbag control module?

I want to send my module out to be flashed by airbagsystems this week. Can i remove it and just keep dealing with the air bag light? Would be nice to have no down time (aka my other option is to buy a new unit for around $600)

Default What happened to your AB module?

If the light came on due to cold, flashing it MAY work. i bought one of those VAG AB resetters from eBay and have used it several times with success. My light tends to come on during extremely cold weather, apparently around -15 or -20 f. It works like a charm.

Why don't you send it to safety recall And have it rebuilt for 50 bucks with a guarantee that ittwill work?

Hey There! So, how did that go for you? I'm curious because I know there can be a lot of problems not directly associated with the airbag module itself that causes the airbag light to got on...
Was your car in an accident? If not, there could be a host of other problems and you'll get your module back with the same issues.
Did you have your vehicle scanned (yourself or a tech)? If so, what were the results?

After receiving it back, did your light come back on? Man, I hope you had your original scan results. I know people probably told you: send it here, send it there, but there's a lot more to it...I hope you respond, I'm really curious.
